Annual General Meeting and Sale of plants, seeds and sundries donated by members. Subscriptions are due at this meeting. If time allows, we have a fun gardening quiz with prizes.

Flower Power – Treasures and other valuables, for long lasting colour in the garden throughout the year.
This presentation features an extensive selection of hardy perennials but also includes bulbs, climbers and grasses that have real ‘Flower Power’!
Maureen Sawyer is a gardener and practising artist and designer who has developed the garden at Southlands in Chorlton which has been awarded BBC Gardener of the Year for the North of England and has opened for the NGS since 2000. It has featured in many magazines, on television and radio programmes and is a National Gardening Competition finalist. Maureen has served on the National Executive Committee of the Cottage Garden Society.

Christmas at Jacqueline Iddon’s
A coach trip to join Jacqueline and family in her home decorated for Christmas, for an afternoon of festive joy. Jacqueline will demonstrate how to make a selection of things for you to make in your own home. This will be followed by mulled wine, mince pies, shortbread and carols to get you in the mood for Christmas.
There will be seasonal items for sale and a free raffle to finish.

Club Social Event
A fun afternoon with cake and a sale/swap table provided by you with the added bonus of Peter Sykes – aretired surgeon who talks about the lighter side of hospital life and is going to take us through a session of Do-It-Yourself Surgery with audience participation!! (His fee is donated to The East Cheshire Hospice and he promises no blood will be spilt).

Story Telling with Flowers and Gardens
Helen Stewart is a professional story teller who worked for 16years at Little Moreton Hall, an iconic National Trust Tudor manor house in Congleton, Cheshire.
Her talk will be based around her experiences with flowers and gardens!

Bob Worsley is a member of and show secretary for the Alpine Garden Society East branch. He is a self-confessed alpine enthusiast and grower extraordinaire with a passion for these beautiful and fascinating plants.

David Winnard specialises in natural history and wildlife and having grown up in Greater Manchester he has spent many years looking for wildlife around what people believe to be a concrete jungle His illustrated talk will cover plants, fungi, birds and mammals in the Oldham and Rochdale area, making you aware of things you never knew you had in your garden or neighbourhood.
